The Great Canadian Gaming Corporation (GC) recently revealed that Casino New Brunswick would be reopening as part of the New Brunswick COVID-19 recovery plan.
The company stated that the reopening was in line with new operational plans and protocols that include controlled guest capacity and slot machine distribution and the temporary closure of most services to ensure the efficient enforcement of physical distancing requirements issued by Public Health.
Table games will not be made available and the hotel will remain closed for the time being. The company has also installed plexiglass all through the venue and that masks are now mandatory for staff and guests.
Anyone entering the company’s facilities will need to present identification for contact tracing purposes in the event that an individual is diagnosed with COVID-19.
“By retaining contact information for each guest frequenting a facility, Casino New Brunswick can quickly and effectively support public health authorities to identify others that may have come into contact with the diagnosed individual.”
The casino will now open seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m.
