In 2009, Playtech released a slot adaptation of the 2000 blockbuster movie Gladiator, and three years later, the progressive jackpot-enhanced version, Gladiator Jackpot Slot, was released. I was excited to see the updated graphics, with transparent reels set against the silhouette of a warrior in an arena. The movie’s characters appear as symbols, and mini clips from the film play when they are involved in a winning combo. Most of the original features have remained intact, but adding a progressive jackpot that most recently paid out over $3 million makes this a whole new game.

This isn’t Playtech’s best-looking movie adaptation, but it almost tops the list for sheer potential.
