In Clover Gold, you must match three, four, or five identical symbols on any of the 20 paylines to win a cash prize. Wild symbols can substitute for all standard symbols to boost your chances of winning, too, so you don’t always need identical symbols.
Clover Gold includes a Money Collect feature with five Collect symbols, and there’s a Free Spins bonus with increasing win multipliers. These bonuses might not be particularly groundbreaking, but I still feel that they add welcome depth to Clover Gold and can increase your chances of winning well.
The Wild symbol can appear on reels 2, 3, 4, and 5. It stands for standard symbols used to build winning combos.
The four-leaf clover is the Money symbol. This lands on reels 1, 2, 3, and 4. The Money symbol is randomly assigned one of the following values on each spin: 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 8x, 10x, 12x, 15x, 18x, 20x, 25x, 50x, or 100x your bet. When at least one Money symbol lands with any Collect symbol on reel 5, the corresponding Collect feature will trigger:

The Free Spins round also includes a progressive element: any Collect symbols that appear once the feature starts will be collected in a trial. Each fourth Collect symbol added to the trail will retrigger the feature and give you eight more free spins.
The multiplier for Money symbol collections will also increase. It rises to x2 on the first retrigger, x3 on the second, and x5 on the third. However, you can only retrigger the feature three times.
The biggest payout you can win in Clover Gold is 5,000 of your stake. That’s a decent max win for a slot with medium volatility, even though plenty of games offer much bigger payouts on the market (usually with higher volatility).
The base theoretical Return to Player (RTP) for Clover Gold is 96.54%. That’s much higher than the 96% average for slots, and combined with the medium volatility, it means Clover Gold has the potential to award good returns.
Clover Gold’s payouts were pretty much what I’d expect of a medium-volatility slot when I played. Wins were regular and small, ranging from around $0.25 to $3 on average.
