Like most Megaways slots, Genie Jackpots Megaways is played on six reels with 2 - 5 symbols on each. Another staple of Megaways slots is a wide range of bonuses; you’ll find a good variety of features in this one. Whether you play Genie Jackpots Megaways on desktop or mobile, here’s how to get started:
As I’ve played my fair share of other Megaways slots, Genie Jackpots Megaways’ interface and controls felt familiar from the start.
The Megaways counter at the top of the screen shows the number of winning ways on the current spin. Your stake is displayed in the Bet meter below the reels, and you can change it by pressing the Bet button on the left of the reels. You can choose from bets between $0.10 and $10.00.
The Spin button is on the right-hand side of the screen — tap this to play. You can use the menu button next to the Spin button to open the game menu: here, you’ll find the paytable, menu, and sound settings.
I was a little disappointed by the standard symbols in Genie Jackpots Megaways, mainly because they looked a little more basic than I’d expected. Six of them are royals on a beige background: 9, 10, J, Q, K, and A. The other four are a pair of swords, a turban, a treasure chest, and the game’s logo.
Thankfully, the bonus symbols are brighter and more colourful than the standard ones. The 9, 10, and J symbols pay 0.5x your bet for 6. The Q, K, and A are worth 1x your bet for 6.
If you land six sword or turban symbols, you’ll scoop 2.5x your stake. The treasure chest pays 5x your stake for 6, and the logo is the top symbol: get 25x your stake for 6 (which isn’t much for a high-paying symbol).
The maximum number of ways to win is lower here than in many other Megaways games: 15,625. I’m used to playing Megaways slots with up to 117,649 ways to win instead. Still, it’s much more than you’ll find in countless other slots!
You'll win a cash prize if you can land three, four, five, or six matching symbols on adjacent reels. The logo symbol is the only one to pay for two or more.
The best part of Genie Jackpots Megaways is the variety of features. You might land more Wilds thanks to the Genie Power Spin bonus, and you can play free spin rounds with different modifiers for extra chances to grab prizes.
1. Wild SymbolThe standard Wild symbol can hit on reels 2 - 6. It substitutes for other symbols except Scatters.
2. Power SpinThe Genie can show his face on any spin and give you one of the four modifiers below:
Land 3, 4, 5, or 6 Scatter symbols to trigger the Bonus with 10, 12, 15, or 20 free spins, respectively. The Bonus feature transports you to the Cave of Wonders and invites you to choose one of four lamps to reveal one of the following free spin rounds:
The max win in Genie Jackpots Megaways is pretty magical at 10,000x your stake. You’ll need help from the bonuses to get close to this. The Unlimited Multiplier and Genie Streak might make it a little easier to build up your winnings, but that top prize will be elusive in most cases.
Genie Jackpots Megaways has a 96.52% Return to Player (RTP). That’s well over the average RTP for slots. The volatility is in the medium-high range so that payouts can be pretty generous and less frequent than in slots with lower volatility. In my experience, the game paid out a few times, but the prizes were generally small.
Genie Jackpots Megaways has decent graphics, but the presentation isn’t as dynamic or fun as it could be. The background scene shows mountain peaks with clouds drifting across a starry night sky, with the Genie’s lamp in the corner. The Genie appears from time to time, which gives the game more personality and increases the excitement.
The music has a fairly generic sound that might seem familiar if you’ve played other slots with a similar theme, but it works well enough. Genie’s voice is well-designed, too.
With our demo, you can play Genie Jackpots Megaways for free right now, right on this page! Meet the Genie, figure out the bonuses, and win virtual prizes before deciding to play the real thing.
If you love genies, magic, and the idea of having wishes granted, Genie Jackpots Megaways is just one slot that features all of these. Another includes a Magic Multiplier, Sticky Wild Respins, Genie’s Magic Touch, and a top win of 5,000x your bet.
You can get more genie action in Aliya’s Wishes with a Free Spins feature, including an increasing win multiplier and a max win of 3,119x your bet. Finally, Wish Upon a Jackpot swaps genies for a magical fairy godmother and features a Fairy Godmother Spin and Fairy Tale Bonus.
While Genie Jackpots Megaways didn’t wow me from the start based on its graphics, the range of features quickly grabbed my interest. I immensely liked the Genie Power Spin feature: this can kick in randomly on any base game spin and award one of four modifiers. And the Bonus feature works brilliantly, too. This can award four different modifiers with up to 20 free spins, potentially taking your winnings higher and higher.
The RTP is well above average, and the medium-high volatility means the bigger prizes are likely to be paid out much less often than smaller ones. But there’s still plenty to enjoy here — try the bonus and see for yourself!
