Goat Getter’s interface is satisfyingly simple. Tap the ‘spin’ button in the bottom-right corner to play, and use the ‘bet’ button to open the wagering menu. You can set up automated spins with the ‘autoplay’ button.
Push the ‘star’ button to open the Bonus Buy menu, which offers four options for starting the bonus round instantly. Finally, use the ‘menu’ button at the top of the screen to open the paytable and rules.
You’ll find 10 paying symbols in Goat Getter, ranging from treasure chests to suit symbols. There’s also a Coin Pot symbol, a Bonus symbol, and the all-important Goat symbol. I’ll explain how these special symbols work later.
The lowest-value symbols are the diamonds, clubs, spades, and hearts. They’re worth up to 15x, 20x, 25x, and 30x your stake, respectively.
Bird egg symbols pay up to 45x your bet, and the purple toadstools offer a top payout of 60x. The rubies award a little more: up to 75x your bet.
Finally, the green, purple, and red treasure chests pay up to 200x, 300x, and 500x your stake, respectively.
If you can land six or more matching symbols anywhere on the grid, you’ll win a payout, as shown on the paytable.
At the end of a winning spin, all winning symbols are removed from the grid, and new ones are dropped in to replace them. This can give you new winning combos to boost your payouts.
Coin Pot symbols have an instant prize value of between 0.5x and 1,000x.
Mystery Box symbols drop in from above in both the base game and the Coin Drop feature. Each box can reveal a dud symbol, a Coin Pot symbol, or a Bonus symbol.
If you land six or more Coin Pot symbols and no further wins can be created, the Coin Drop feature starts. Six to 9 Coin Pot symbols award 0.5x to 4x your bet.
When 10 or more Coin Pots appear, their instant prize values are activated and paid out. Mystery Boxes can reveal a Bonus symbol, dud symbol, or Goat symbol. The Goat symbol collects the instant prize values of any Coin Pot symbols visible at the same time.
Get three or more Bonus symbols in the base game to win up to 16 free spins. As in the Coin Drop feature, the Goat symbol may appear and collect the values of Coin Pot symbols.
Goat symbols carry multipliers of up to x10, which are applied to the total Coin Pot values to award bigger payouts. If you have more than one Goat symbol on the grid, the Coin Pot values will be collected multiple times.
The Gamble feature triggers just before the Free Spins round, and the Gamble Wheel presents you with the chance to increase the number of free spins awarded. But be careful: there’s a risk that you could forfeit those spins you already have.
You can win up to 10,000x your stake in Goat Getter. You’ll need help from the bonuses and multipliers to get close to this top prize, though.
I was pleased to see that Goat Getter’s theoretical Return to Player (RTP) is higher than the average at 96.40%. The medium-high volatility means that payouts can reach generous levels, but the game is less likely to award prizes as often as slots with lower volatility.
Goat Getter is easy on the eye, but I would have liked to see a goat or two (or other animals) in the environment around the reels while playing. As it is, the game feels a little lifeless at times. Still, that’s only a small issue. Regardless, the graphics are colourful and feature a distinctive 3D effect. The music is calm and relaxing, too, so it’s a good fit for the rural location.

If you’re on the lookout for slots featuring animals like Goat Getter, you’re spoiled for choice. Let’s see how it compares to three other slots.
Happy Hooves includes Pragmatic Play’s Powernudge feature that pushes reels up or down to help you win. The top prize is 5,000x your bet.
Raging Rhino transports you to an African savanna to play for wins of up to 1,000x your bet.
Buffalo King features more than 4,000 ways to win, up to 100 free spins, and a huge max win of 93,750x your bet!
I had fun playing Goat Getter overall, thanks mainly to the bonus features. They all work well together, from the cascading reels to the Free Spins feature with its cash-collection mechanic.
Crucially, the top payout is generous at 10,000x your stake, and the RTP is above average, too. But if you’re looking for an animal-themed slot with a higher payout, Buffalo King offers prizes of more than 93,000x your bet!
