The game interface is a little dated compared to modern slots, but don't let it put you off. I still found it very easy to use, with all the buttons and controls clearly labelled. When I opened the game, the 5x3 reels were immediately located in the centre of the screen, while the main control panel was directly below.
I used the Select Lines, Select Coins, and Max Bet buttons to change how much I wanted to bet on each spin. Land wins in King Cashalot by matching three or more symbols along any of the game's nine paylines. Remember that you can adjust the number of paylines you play with. Lower paylines will mean lower stakes but a smaller chance of winning.
The King is the game's wild symbol, substituting for any other regular symbols on a payline to help you land wins. Whenever the King appears, there's a good chance you'll win a payout, though it still needs to land with at least two other matching symbols.
Along with acting as a wild, the King will grant you a massive reward if you land five of a kind.
If you land five King symbols on the ninth payline, you will be awarded the progressive jackpot prize that starts at $100,000. If you have not activated payline nine, you will receive the regular symbol combo prize of 15,000x your stake.
If three bonus symbols land on reels 2, 3, and 4, you will activate the Treasure Bonus, a pick-me game where you are presented with a selection of treasure chests.
