I’m happy to say I found Lucky Clucks easy to dive into immediately. The controls are conveniently laid out in a vertical panel on the right-hand side of the screen. You can start by clicking on the button with three casino chips to open the bet menu, then tap the up and down arrows to scroll through the wagering options.
Lucky Clucks’ symbols were a delight from start to finish. They’re cartoon-style illustrations of farmyard animals, with big eyes and other exaggerated features. Each symbol has a unique look and stands out. Even the royals fit the theme like they’ve been cobbled together with a few pieces of wood.
Most symbols are split into two types: active and passive. The passive symbols don’t pay but perform special functions instead. Active symbols award prizes for combinations of three or more. Wild and Scatter symbols can appear too.
The active symbols include a cow, sheep, goat, pig, three horseshoes, and royals (ace, king, queen, and jack).
Land 5 pig, goat, sheep, or cow symbols to win 0.73x your stake. The passive symbols come into play during the bonus features, so I’ll come back to these later.
Lucky Clucks has 576 ways to win; winning combinations can form anywhere on the reels. To win a prize, you must land three, four, or five matching symbols on adjacent reels. The payout size is based on the symbols you line up alongside each other and how much they’re worth.
The Wild symbol substitutes for all paying symbols except Scatters, so they can contribute to winning combos, too.
The BIG BuildUp Feature may trigger on any spin at random. One or more chickens can lay eggs to reveal prizes: the Mother Hen Prize, multipliers (2x, 3x, 4x, 5x), or Wild symbols.
The value of the Mother Hen Prize starts at 5x and ends at 3,000x your stake. The value increases each time a Corn symbol lands.
Whenever a Wild symbol is awarded in the feature, its reel will extend by one position. Multipliers will enhance the value of standard wins or the Mother Hen Prize (but only if awarded with it).
When you’ve revealed all of the feature prizes, the BIG BuildUp Feature will end.
Raise the Roof BonusGet 3, 4, or 5 Scatters anywhere to win 5, 7, or 9 bonus spins, respectively. One or more chickens can land on each spin and award Wild symbols. These extend their reels by one position for the whole round.
Wild symbols drop down one position on each spin until they disappear from the grid.
Lucky Clucks has a top prize of 3,000x your stake (or $90,000 when playing at the highest bet level). You can only win this with the Mother Hen Prize. But the chances of claiming this are slim, so remember to gamble responsibly.
Lucky Clucks's theoretical RTP is 96.19%, which is higher than the industry average (96%). On average, it should return just over $0.96 for each $1.00 staked, but returns can vary.
It’s a highly volatile game, but when I tested Lucky Clucks, I won more often than I expected to. My payouts varied in size but were almost always below $10.00, though I managed to get one big win of $144.00 (thanks to Mother Hen).
Lucky Clucks’ design grabbed my attention when I launched the game. The farmyard setting is colourful and relaxing, and the dynamic animations (such as chickens flapping their wings) bring it to life brilliantly. The chickens and Mother Hen sitting above the reels also add to Lucky Clucks’ distinctive style.

Lucky Clucks is one of many slots featuring animals, farmyards, or rural settings, and I’ve played a few. Let’s compare Lucky Clucks with three other animal-themed slots like Oink Farm, Big Bad Wolf and The Dog House and see how they differ:
I found much to like in Lucky Clucks, from the cartoony and fun design to the distinctive bonuses. The rural setting gives the game a relaxing feel, but the style is dynamic and wacky enough to keep you engaged while you spin.
The max win of 3,000x is OK but could be more extensive, and the high volatility means it’s likely hard to come by (I certainly didn’t win it). The symbol values are tiny, too, without the multipliers to boost them. The BIG BuildUp Feature and Raise the Roof Bonus are strong additions that can lead to the biggest wins in the game.
Lucky Clucks is well worth playing, but you can try it for yourself before you play for real in our free demo.
