Magic Money Maze has a standard layout: 5 reels and three rows with ten paylines. While that'll probably be familiar to most players, Magic Money Maze has some of the most original symbols I’ve seen— iconic U.S. political figures! I’ll return to this later. In the meantime, here’s how to start playing the game:
When you load Magic Money Maze, you’ll see the Spin button and other controls below the reels. The Spin button rolls the reels, so press that to play manually or use the Autoplay button to program automated spins instead. Just keep an eye on your balance to ensure you don’t lose track of your wagering.
The ‘+’ and ‘-’ buttons open the bet setup menu. Use them to change your stake from the default. The ‘i’ button opens the paytable, which lists all the symbol values and explains the features.
The symbols in Magic Money Maze feature four U.S. icons, five royals, a Bonus symbol, and a Money symbol.
As in most slots, the royals pay the lowest prizes. Build a combination of 3 or more 10, J, or Q symbols on a payline to win 10x your bet. The K and A pay a little more — they’re worth up to 20x your bet.
Now, the icons George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, and Alexander Hamilton all pay up to 50x your stake. But Abraham Lincoln is the top symbol: land five on a payline to win 200x your bet.
The Bonus symbol can appear on all reels, triggering the Magic Money Maze Bonus game. The Money symbol has a random value whenever it hits, and it can land on any spin in the base game and bonus feature.
All symbols in Magic Money Maze payout for three or more on a payline. There’s no Wild symbol to substitute for symbols, which is unusual, so you’ll need exact matches to create winning combinations.
The main feature of Magic Money Maze is fun and different from the base game. It gives you more chances to win cash prizes as you make your way around a board.
Land three or more Bonus symbols to trigger this feature. You’ll start with a specific number of lives depending on how many Bonus symbols you land:
The 7x7 board has 49 squares, and a monkey head represents the player. This starts on a random square along the board’s outer edge.
Items, including snakes, scorpions, hearts, and money prizes, are positioned randomly across the board. The game rolls a dice to determine how many spaces you’ll move (between one and six). The monkey head always moves in a clockwise direction and can land on the following item squares:
When you run out of lives, the bonus feature ends, and the total winnings are awarded.
You can instantly trigger the Magic Money Maze Bonus if you pay 120x your bet.
The biggest payout in Magic Money Maze is generous at 10,000x your bet. If you play at the maximum $250 stake, that's a potential payout of $2,500,000. However, while possible, the chances of landing such a huge prize are slight.
Magic Money Maze has a 96.61% RTP, significantly higher than the 96% average for slots. But this is only theoretical and based on many simulated spins. Actual returns can vary wildly from the RTP.
The volatility is in the medium-high range. Payouts can reach high levels, but the bigger wins are likely to be spread further apart than smaller ones. I won several times while playing, and prizes were often around $2, $3, and $5. But there were also far more non-winning spins along the way.
If Magic Money Maze only featured generic symbols like royals and dollar signs, it might look like any other slot. However, using Lincoln, Washington, Hamilton, and Franklin as symbols gives it a unique style.
The visuals are crisp and detailed overall, especially the symbols. The elegant background is pretty plain, besides the cash and coins overflowing behind the reels. Magic Money Maze’s music has a fun, classically American sound.

Money is at the heart of this and many other slots on the market. Some offer bigger cash prizes than Magic Money Maze, while others include more features. One popular option is Break Da Bank Again Megaways, which has up to 117,649 ways to win and a top prize of 24,185x your stake.
Another is Mega Vault Millionaire. You can play for four progressive jackpots, including the Mega Jackpot that seeds at $1 million. There’s also The Finer Reels of Life WowPot, with a WowPot progressive jackpot seeding at $2 million! All three slots have a similarly sophisticated style to Magic Money Maze.
I was pleasantly surprised when I loaded Magic Money Maze for the first time — I didn’t expect to see Abraham Lincoln and George Washington looking out at me from the screen, that’s for sure. But their presence helps Magic Money Maze stand out from other slots with a similar style.
The same is true of the bonus feature, which swaps the reel-spinning for a virtual board game. This makes for a refreshing change and can increase your chances of scooping that top 10,000x prize. You can also pay 120x your bet to trigger the bonus instantly if you don’t want to wait for that to happen organically.
The RTP is much higher than the slot average at 96.61%, and the higher-paying symbol values aren’t wrong compared to those in so many other games.
